Sundial is a Dashboard widget for Mac OS X that allows you to quickly and easily log time entries to your Basecamp^™ account.

Release Notes

• All Basecamp widgets (Sundial is no exception) require that you enable the Basecamp API in your account settings.
• Sundial requires that you have time tracking enabled for your Basecamp account (a feature available to “Plus” or higher accounts).
• Also, pay attention to the URL you enter as your Basecamp Site Address. If it uses https:// in your browser, be sure to enter it that way in Sundial.
• One last thing, you can enter time against projects directly or link your entries to to-do items. For the latter, time tracking must be enabled for your to-do list.

For those folks who love Sundial, but want a timer-based way to track time, we suggest TheDailyGrind, a great widget by Thomas Pilgaard Miller that we consider the best of its kind. Use TheDailyGrind to track your time, then save it to Basecamp using Sundial. How easy is that?

Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger is required. If you’re using Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget’s icon in the Widget Bar to open it. If you’re using a browser other than Safari, click the download link. When the widget download is complete, unarchive it and place it in /Library/Widgets/ in your home folder. show Dashboard, click the Plus sign to display the Widget Bar and click the widget’s icon in the Widget Bar to open it.
