Last Great Trip: My wife and I took our two dogs, Chief and Wonka, to Lake City, Colorado to camp and to climb some of Colorado's famed 14’ers. We were stormed off of Handies Peak from Grizzly Gulch, but returned the next day to summit Red Cloud. We drove into downtown Lake City later in the day and sat on a bench, people-watching and eating ice cream cones. It was a perfect day in the mountains!
Kevin Silver
Director of User Experience
Kevin is an empathetic champion of the end user and a strong proponent of user-centered design. He strives to design digital products that are simple, elegant, and easy to use. Involved in desktop application design and development since 1995, Kevin started tinkering with HTML in the late 90’s—just in time for the flurry of growth before the big .com bust. He has worked on a diverse range of web projects, including Indian Health Services, Envision Utility Software Company, Rick Johnson and Company, University of New Mexico, Ideum, Museum of the African Diaspora, Adobe, and the U.S. Air Force. One thing Kevin has learned through all of these engagements is that satisfying the needs and goals of the end user is central to a successful experience. As a user experience architect for Clearwired, he has worked on projects for Norwegian Cruise Line and King Retail Solutions, and is currently refining Clearwired’s user experience practice.
Why I Love Books: When I first started at Clearwired, I forewarned my co-workers that I had a lot of books. They started grumbling after helping me transport the 6th load from the car. You can literally trace the progress of my career through the books on my shelf. They have become my history. I love books because they represent unknown possibilities; you never know what you’re going to learn. Plus, I have a voracious appetite for the unknown.
