The Loop
ION is big in Germany
We recently got a few emails from some people in Germany who are totally jazzed about ION. We're excited about this interest in ION and how the word is spreading. There is talk about creating an ION parser to create rapid prototypes, which is one direction we saw it going. In response to this interest we're going to host an ION wiki so there's a central place in continue the discussion. I am going to work on creating the kayak.com example for ION and how it integrates into the LDD. I should have this ready before May 10th.
Adaptable Interfaces
One of the most interesting presentations at the IA Summit was on Creating Adaptable Interfaces by Stephen Anderson. Adaptable interfaces learn or inuit usage patterns of users to better meet the users goals and needs. Simply, this can range from: auto-resizing a text-box to fit all of the user's typed in content, creating worn paths on a web page, or rolling-up the directions from your home to the highway when using Google Maps to get directions "after the 50th time".
